Founder & CEO

Hi, I’m Tara, the founder of Me Plus More, mum of 3 young boys and 2 fish. Plus, I have enough plants to fill a small forest! I also have a bachelor’s degree in applied science and a master’s degree in international public health.

I have worked in a range of disability services in various roles over the past 15 years. As the years went by, I noticed there is a lack of easily accessible online services for people wishing to learn independent living skills. There was also an unfortunate lack of tools and training provided to staff in paid support roles. These gaps were my inspiration for creating Me Plus More.

Me Plus More is built on the foundation that everyone has the right to work towards their independence and have access to the appropriate tools to do so.

Elle

Project Manager

Hi, I’m Elle. I am the Director of E-Centre Solutions, and I am thrilled to collaborate with Me Plus More as Project Manager. I have worked in the Disability Sector for 20 years and I have managed projects for the last 15 years. I completed a Bac. of Social Science, Diploma in Counselling, and Diploma in Project Management.

I believe my academic and career achievements have found in Me Plus More the perfect opportunity to continue creating change in our community. I am passionate about educating people on how to be more inclusive of others and giving a voice to those who are more vulnerable. Me Plus More certainly facilitates that!

Ruth

Subject Matter Expert

Hi, I’m Ruth, I am an experienced community educator for Down Syndrome. I have presented and told my story to school children, also to a wide range of different audiences, and as a keynote speaker where I addressed conferences both in Australia and overseas.

I have also been on TV and on stage as an actress! I have had numerous roles in creating educational content for people with disabilities. I have been working part-time for the last 20 years as a clerk in the St George Bank head office which has been a wonderful experience.

I am so excited to be the subject matter expert at Me Plus More and work on the “Women in the Workplace” stream of learning, as I know what it is like to be a woman with Down Syndrome in a workplace.

 

Talia

Social Media Manager

Hi, I’m Talia, I am Me Plus More’s social media content manager. I have been working on content creating and brand building for the past 3 years, I enjoy sharing messages and visions to help or educate others. I also love animals and exercising!

I’m very proud to be a part of Me Plus More’s journey as I think it is so important that we support those who need a little extra help in becoming independent and navigating the challenges that adulthood throws at us!
